Yackandandah Folk Festival – Ticket Sales Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of tickets for the Yackandandah Folk Festival. By purchasing or using a ticket, you the “Ticket Holder” agree to be bound by the following:
1. Ticket Purchase and Entry
1.1 All ticket sales are final. Once purchased, tickets are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
1.2 Entry to the Festival’s ticketed venues is only permitted with a valid wrist band which will be issued by the Festival ticket office prior to and during the Festival. Lost, stolen, or damaged wrist bands may not be replaced. High Street and other public places outside the ticketed venues are still open to the public however certain streets will be closed to vehicular traffic.
1.3 Companion Card holders who purchase a ticket will be provided with a complimentary ticket for their companion/carer. Please contact [email protected] to arrange a ticket and be prepared to show the relevant Companion Card on arrival at the Festival ticket office.
1.4 The Festival reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who:
- Presents a fraudulent or duplicated ticket;
- Is acting in a disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate manner;
- Does not comply with these Terms or the Festival’s Code of Conduct.
2. Refunds and Cancellations
2.1 Tickets are non-refundable, except as required by Australian Consumer Law or if the Festival is cancelled.
2.2 If the Festival is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, public health directives), a refund will be offered.
2.3 Change of mind, inability to attend, or dissatisfaction with the event do not constitute grounds for a refund. Tickets are transferable to another person in the event that a ticket holder is unable to attend provided that notification of the new ticket holder is given to festival[email protected] to avoid anyone claiming a ticket they are not entitled to.

3. Changes to Program
3.1 The Festival line-up, schedule, artists, venues, and program are subject to change without notice.
3.2 No refund or exchange will be offered due to changes in the program, line-up, or performance times.
4. Children and Youth Tickets
4.1 Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
4.2 Age categories and ticket pricing are outlined on the festival’s ticketing page. Proof of age may be required.
5. Wristbands
5.1 The wristband must be worn at all times during the Festival and is required for re-entry.
5.2 Lost or tampered wristbands will not be replaced. You may be denied re-entry without a valid wristband.
6. Conditions of Entry
6.1 No illegal substances or weapons are permitted in Festival venues, campgrounds or public areas around the Festival.
6.2 Alcohol may only be consumed in licensed areas. Patrons wishing to consume alcohol must be 18 years and over (photographic ID will be required as proof of age). It is prohibited to bring your own alcohol to the event or consume alcohol in public areas around the Festival in accordance with relevant Council and State laws (including Indigo Shire Council Local Law #2 – Amenity).
6.3 Photography and recording for personal use are permitted. Commercial or media use of photographs, video or audio of Festival events must be approved in writing by the Festival organisers.
6.4 The Festival reserves the right to search bags and belongings upon entry.
7. Liability and Risk
7.1 Attendance at the Festival is at your own risk. The organisers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, or theft, except where required by law.
7.2 By entering the Festival, you acknowledge the potential for loud music, crowded spaces, uneven terrain and poor lighting of streetscapes and other public spaces.
8. Health and Safety
8.1 The Festival complies with all applicable public health directives and safety regulations. Ticket Holders must comply with any health and safety measures directed by the Festival organisers.
9. Privacy
9.1 Personal information collected during ticket sales is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and for the purpose of event management, communication, and marketing (where consent is given).
10. General
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
10.2 The Festival reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the official Festival website.
