Early bird tickets close: December 15th 2026, unless sold out earlier. Strictly limited to 350 tickets. Once early bird tickets are sold out, full-price tickets will automatically become available.

Regular tickets and day tickets on sale: December 15th 2026 (or earlier if all early bird tickets sell out before 15 December) until sold out

Under the Indigo Shire Council Local Laws No.2: Alcohol can only be consumed on licensed premises. Alcohol cannot be removed or taken into the licensed premises. Alcohol cannot be consumed on roads or footpaths.These laws are enforced by local police.

You do not need to apply for permission to busk at the festival however you cannot use a PA or amplifier system. There are Open Mic sessions held in the dining room of the Star Hotel on the Saturday and Sunday during the festival.

For public safety and the comfort of all patrons, dogs and other animals are not permitted inside any official festival venues.

The only exception is for certified Assistance/Companion Dogs.

Pets are allowed at the campgrounds as long as they are well supervised, kept on a lead and do not disrupt other campers.

Yes. St John Ambulance are present during the festival and are located on the corner of Wellsford Street and High Street.

The festival prides itself on being family-friendly. There are two non-ticketed, family-friendly venues (the Youth Stage in the main street and the children’s performance area at the primary school).

• Saturday Only: Perfect for a single-day experience.

The Festival Ticket Office is located inside the Senior Citizen’s Centre in Wellsford Street, just behind the Memorial Gardens Park.

The ticket office hours are:
Thursday 10am to 9pm
Friday 9am to 10pm
Saturday 9am to 7pm
Sunday 10am to 4pm

Yes! The Youth Stage on the main street is free. There is also a children’s performance area located at the Primary School.

You will receive an email confirming your booking. Please ensure that you keep either physical or electronic copies of your receipt, which is your “ticket” and bring them with you to the Festival Ticket Office where they will be scanned and exchanged for wristbands.

Camping can be booked when you book your ticket. Please see the accommodation page for more details regarding camping.

Tickets are non-refundable. However, if the festival is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather or public health directives), a refund will be offered. If there are extenuating circumstances (such as an acute medical issue with a valid medical certificate), please contact our festival organisers to discuss.

Tickets are transferable to another person in the event that a ticket holder is unable to attend provided that notification of the new ticket holder is sent to us by email.

Parking is very limited in town. Check out the festival map for the designated parking areas including accessible parking options. We strongly encourage using our free courtesy bus to get around (see the transport page for more details) For those camping we ask that you leave your vehicle parked at the campground for the weekend unless you require transport due to mobility issues.

The bus operates and runs continuously:
Friday: 6 PM – 12:30 am
Saturday: 9 AM – 12:30 AM
Sunday: 9 AM – 4 PM

Camping is available at Butson Park and the Sports Park. See the accommodation page for more details. Tickets for camping can be bought when you purchase your festival tickets.

Yackandandah offers local B&Bs, motels, and the Yackandandah Holiday Park (cabins & powered sites). Book early as these typically book out well before the festival.

Accommodation is also available in Beechworth, Stanley, Wooragee, Chiltern, Indigo Valley, Tangambalanga, Kiewa, Dederang, or Albury/Wodonga, which are all within a 30min drive from Yackandandah

Once you have submitted your application, you should receive an email confirming receipt of your application. The volunteer committee will email information to registered volunteers with designated tasks and duties once the job of rostering begins in January.

Volunteers who provide 10 hours or more of their time are entitled to free camping at the designated YFF campgrounds at Butson Park or the Sports Park.

Volunteers who provide 5 hours or more of their time are entitled to half price camping at the designated YFF campgrounds at Butson Park or the Sports Park.

Volunteers who volunteer for less than 5 hours can purchase camping when they purchase their festival ticket.

If you do not qualify for free or discounted camping through your volunteer hours, or if you choose not to camp, you will need to arrange and pay for your own accommodation.

For the 2027 Festival, volunteers will need to commit to a minimum of 2 hours of volunteering. A ticket discount or special perk applies depending on the total hours you volunteer.

• 10 hours = A free weekend festival ticket plus free camping at the designated YFF campgrounds at Butson Park or the Sports Park
• 6 hours = 1/2 price festival ticket plus 1/2 price camping
• 2–4 hours = Receive a special thank-you gift. Please note that if you wish to see performances outside your shifts, standard ticket purchases apply

All volunteers regardless of hours worked have full access to free food and drinks in the Volunteer Centre all weekend, as well as an invitation to our exclusive post-festival thank-you gathering.

Yes! The committee is open to enthusiastic local individuals wanting to take on a greater role with the Folk Festival and there is always room for more volunteers on the committee. We meet monthly throughout the year and then as the festival nears more frequently. The committee is very flexible and appreciates that not everyone can take on a large role. If you are at all interested and want to learn more, we would love to hear from you! Please contact us.
