The apps offer an easy way to view artists’ profiles, keep up with the program and even view an offline map of the town.

Simply tap the bell icon next to a performance, and we’ll add it to your schedule. If you ever want to view your schedule, you can tap the bell in the top right corner of the program.

The Yackandandah Folk Festival apps are made by a local Yackandandarian, a Liverpudlian, and a girl from Ballarat.

The journey of the apps started after Isaac dragged a few of his friends from Melbourne up to Yackandandah for the Folk Festival in 2015. After having a brilliant time, they decided they wanted to find a way to give back to the community and the festival, and given they worked in the tech industry they decided that making a companion app for the festival was the best way to do it.

The apps are updated with new features and tweaks every year, and the team are always looking for ways to make the app even better for the next festival. So if you see them floating around the Festival (probably at the Star Hotel) feel free to say hi, let them know what you think and what you’d like to see in the app in the future. Or if you really want you can also buy them a beer.
