Festival on track to sell out for 3rd big year in a row!

It’s only 10 days out folks! Yack Folk Festival is on the way and tickets are set to sell out very soon even earlier than they have in the past 2 years! Haven’t got yours yet? You’d better hurry because you don’t want to miss this year’s amazing lineup of performers. As usual at YFF, we span many different genres of music so there’s bound to be something that appeals to everyone. Our high standard of artists continues to improve year after fabulous year. Some names might be unfamiliar to you at first but once you’ve seen them for the first time, you’ll be queuing up to buy their music believe me!

Pictured here are Alawishus Jones and the Outright Lies-a Blues/Folk/Roots outfit from Melbourne who are set to take the festival by storm. Don’t miss them folks. See you all very soon in scenic Yackandandah.

Less Than 5 Weeks to go………..

WoW!!! It’s less than 5 weeks till the 2018 Yackandandah Folk Festival kicks off in earnest and we’re starting to get a little bit excited. Our program will be finalised shortly and up on here for you to peruse so you can begin planning who you’d like to go and see.

Our new T-shirts are currently being printed and should be available soon.

After a fairly exhaustive search, we have secured a new location for our “Youth Shed” right in the heart of the shopping district. The old venue has been taken over by The Flying Fruit Fly Circus, who’ll no doubt be demonstrating some of their skills around town during the weekend.

Once again, we will be holding a Bush Dance immediately following the Opening Parade, which begins at the more normal time of 6.30pm Friday evening and features a local brass band leading the procession in the main street.

Speaking of the main street of Yackandandah- this year, it will be closed to through traffic in it’s entirety for the duration of YFF. This will enhance the strong village feel of the festival and allow families to walk between all venues in complete safety.

Ticket sales continue to be strong but don’t despair-there’s still plenty of time to purchase your tickets and book your spot at one of our two terrific camping grounds.

Waste Reduction

A big focus for the 2017 Festival is waste reduction. Please help us with this goal by bringing your own re-usable water bottles, coffee cups and cloth bags, refusing one-use plastic packaging & bags, and ensuring waste is disposed of in the appropriate bins.
